We specialize in constructing diversified private equity portfolios that provide exposure to potentially hundreds of lower middle-market investments. Our team draws on a network of 100+ distinct general partner relationships to identify what we believe are top-performing managers whose characteristics and capabilities align with our portfolio construction objectives. These cornerstone relationships also contribute to our deal sourcing, our operating executive network, and our broader knowledge of the private markets.
Patria seeks preferred economic terms by investing directly alongside general partners into operating companies. Leveraging our sourcing network and deal flow, we select investments we believe are best positioned to create meaningful value, typically in companies with USD 10–50 millions of EBITDA. We rigorously underwrite each opportunity and work to add value to portfolio companies through our market knowledge and operating executive resources.

Chairman Emeritus of COREalpha Investment Committee
Based in Chicago, Donald serves as Chairman Emeritus of COREalpha Investment Committee. He has over 30 years of investment management experience managing large pools of pension assets as both a limited and a general partner.
Prior to that, Donald was Chief Investment Officer and CEO for WestAM (U.S.), a subsidiary of German bank WestLB, where he directed investment strategy and oversaw a roughly $3 billion portfolio across private equity, real estate, and direct investments. Earlier, he was Chairman of Equity Institutional Investors, led the formation of four real estate funds later consolidated into Equity Office Properties, and was instrumental in establishing the $1.1 billion Zell/Chilmark Fund. He also spent eight years as Chief Investment Officer for Ameritech Corporation, managing its $15 billion pension fund.
Donald has an MBA in Finance from Northern Illinois University and a BA in Business from Western Illinois University.
Chairman of COREalpha Investment Committee
Based in New York, Gregory is Chairman of COREalpha Investment Committee, bringing over 30 years of investment advisory experience with a focus on alternative asset management and financial product structuring for institutional clients.
Gregory serves as a board member or observer of BrightFarms, CeloNova Biosciences, Monogram Foods, Seno Medical Instruments and VoloAgri, among other portfolio companies, and as an advisory board member of more than two dozen invested funds.
Gregory joined Patria from WestAM, where he was a Director responsible for small and middle market buyouts, special situations, and co-investments, and sat on the Private Equity Executive Committee and Investment Committee. He previously served as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of Forstmann-Leff International's Global Derivatives Group and as a Director of Jefferies Analytical Trading Group at Jefferies Group.

Head of US Strategies
Based in New York, J.F. is Head of US Strategies at Patria, where he has been involved in servicing clients and in all aspects of investing and investment management, including serving on the Investment Committee, since joining the firm in 2005. His purview spans private equity and debt, and both direct and fund investments.
J.F. serves or has served as a board member or observer of Gradalis, Excelin Health, Blackpoint Cyber, Chairmans Food, Foundation Partners, Lakeview Farms, RizePoint, Royal Camp, Corsicana Mattress, and Upstream Rehabilitation, among other portfolio companies, and as an advisory board member of more than a dozen invested funds.
J.F. joined Patria in 2005, prior to which he spent five years as a principal at Abbott Capital Management LLC focusing on co-investments, and earlier was a junior principal at Grumman Hill Group and an analyst at Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance and CIBC World Markets.
J.F. has an MBA from New York University and a BA in Economics from Franklin and Marshall College.
Co-Head of US Investments
Based in New York, Eric heads the US Private Equity team within Patria Global Private Markets Solutions (“Patria GPMS”) and is a member of the Patria GPMS Investment Committee and Operating Committee.
Eric has lead responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, and executing US primary fund investments, secondary investments and co-investments. Eric is portfolio manager for several investment mandates and serves on the Advisory Boards of a number of US private equity funds.
Eric joined the business in 2008, prior to which he spent eight years at Bank of America Capital Advisors focusing on private equity fund investing.
Eric has a BS in Business from Indiana University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also a CFA charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant.
Co-Head of US Investments
Based in Chicago, Eric is a Co-Head of US Investments, actively involved in sourcing and diligence for private equity.
Eric joined Patria from Hewitt EnnisKnupp's Global Private Equity Group, where he focused on sourcing and evaluating private equity funds and co-investments, and was involved in managing the private equity portfolios of some of the firm's largest pension clients.
Eric has a BA from Augustana College and an MBA from DePaul University. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Investments Principal
Based in New York, Allan is COREalpha Investment Committee Principal, actively involved in sourcing and investment diligence for private equity funds, secondaries, and co-investments, and assists with portfolio management and industry research.
Allan joined Patria from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he worked in the leveraged finance investment banking group.
Allan holds a degree in History from Princeton University.
Investments Vice President
Based in New York, Austin joined the firm in 2022 and is involved in sourcing and investment diligence for private equity funds and equity co-investments, as well as portfolio management and monitoring. He previously worked in Corporate Development & Finance at a portfolio company, evaluating M&A opportunities and supporting growth strategy, and interned at the firm in 2017.
Austin earned a BBA in Finance from Texas Christian University.
