Partner & Portfolio Manager Latam Equities
Alejandro Olea is responsible for managing nearly USD 2 billion in assets as a Partner and Latin American Equities Portfolio Manager at Patria.
Prior to his current role, he held a similar position at Moneda Asset Management. Olea began his career as an Analyst focused on high-yield corporate bonds across Latin America, where he demonstrated strong analytical capabilities and deep market expertise. His tenure as a Senior Credit Analyst at Cheyne Capital Management in New York significantly expanded his international exposure, involving the management of substantial asset volumes and the leadership of several investment projects across the region.
Upon returning to Moneda in 2008, Olea launched a new Latin American Equities investment strategy, continuously driving the firm's strategic development and growth. At Patria, he now plays a key role in shaping investment strategies and expanding the firm's presence in Latin American equity markets.
Mr. Olea holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Universidad de Talca, Chile, and an MBA from Loyola University Maryland, and is widely recognized for his leadership and expertise in the financial industry.
