Patryck Pimpao Merhy

Mr. Patryck Pimpao Merhy is a Partner and Asia Pacific CEO of Patria Investments, a leading Alternative Assets Manager in Latin America, with more than US$40 billion dollars of assets under management. Mr. Pimpao is also a member of Patria’s Global Management Committee and a board member of a number of Patria’s funds invested companies, including Essentia Energia, one of the largest renewable energy platforms in Latin America; Elis, a leading operator in the distributed generation sector in Brazil; and Evolution Mobility, a pioneer in Electric Vehicles implementation and fleet management in Brazil.

Mr. Pimpao joined Patria in Hong Kong in 2016, inaugurating Patria’s office in Asia Pacific for the first time. Prior to joining Patria, Mr. Pimpao spent over 18 years in the global financial services industry, holding senior leadership positions in Brazil, New York and Hong Kong at Bank of America Merril Lynch and Banco Santander.

In addition, Mr. Pimpao is the founding Chairman of the Brazil Hong Kong Chamber of commerce, and also serves as a board member of Junior Achievement (JA) Asia Pacific. JA is one of the world’s largest youth-serving NGOs providing skill building programs to the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders.

A native of Brazil, Mr. Pimpao holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas and a Master’s degree in Global Finance from Stern School of Business at New York University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
