Patryck Pimpao Merhy is a Partner and Asia Pacific CEO of Patria Investments, a leading Private Markets Assets Manager in Latin America, with more than US$50 billion dollars of assets under management. Mr. Pimpao is also a member of Patria’s Global Management Committee and a board member of a number of Patria’s funds invested companies, including Essentia Energia, one of the largest renewable energy platforms in Latin America; Elis, a leading operator in the distributed generation sector in Brazil; and Evolution Mobility, a pioneer in Electric Vehicles implementation and fleet management in Latin America.
Mr. Pimpao joined Patria in Hong Kong in 2016, inaugurating Patria’s office in Asia Pacific for the first time. Prior to joining Patria, Mr. Pimpao spent over 15 years in the global financial services industry, holding senior leadership positions in Brazil, New York and Hong Kong at Bank of America Merril Lynch and Banco Santander.
In addition, Mr. Pimpao is the founding Chairman of the Brazil Hong Kong Chamber of commerce, and also served as a board member of Junior Achievement (JA) Asia Pacific during 2025 year. JA is one of the world’s largest youth-serving NGOs providing skill building programs to the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders.
A Brazilian native, Mr. Pimpao completed the Stanford Executive Program (SEP) at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He holds a Master’s in Global Finance from NYU Stern and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
